Mark T. Faust is a student of Physics, Mathematics, and Computer Science at Johns Hopkins University, where he also trains to commission as an Officer in the United States Army. A multidimensional thinker, Faust seeks to understand both the natural world and humanity’s place within it, drawing upon his Catholic faith which teaches him that to whom much is given, much is expected.

At the Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory, Faust works as a Technical Aide in the Design Thinking Group, developing machine learning systems, rapid prototypes, and human-centered tools for national defense. His work spans rapid digital fabrication, ML-driven document pipelines, and strategic analysis that supports mission-critical defense initiatives.

In 2024, Faust founded The Barrax Company, a venture studio dedicated to transforming ambitious ideas into meaningful products. He leads interdisciplinary teams across AI, education, entertainment, and software engineering, driven by the belief that entrepreneurship is a form of service and that innovation should create real value for others.

Faust is equally committed to communication. He has spoken on the TEDx stage, writes essays on Medium, experiments with podcasting, and studies the art of story across film, theology, literature, and music. He sees communication as an act of leadership—an opportunity to bring clarity, honesty, and courage into uncertain spaces.

Across his academic work, military formation, research, and entrepreneurial ventures, Faust strives to live a life animated by curiosity, service, and integrity.
